Overview: Up to this point a local version of the RAWeb has been used i.e. RAWeb has been running on the same instance as our CA. In this lab, an EXTERNAL RA instance will be configured and used to create certificates. This is a desirable feature, as we may not want the RA residing on the same instance as the CA.

This feature also gives you many options, where you can "cherry pick":

• which end-entity profiles you wish to service

• which CA's this RA will service,

• which certificate operations (create, delete, revoke etc) this RA will service

• which protocols or API's can contact this RA (REST, MS Auto-Enroll, ACME, SCEP etc).

The second part of this lab will rebrand the RA interface. This allows the organization to change logo's and color schemes on the RA Web interface for a customized look and feel.
