Introduction
EJBCA Publishers
Slide Deck: EJBCA Publishers
Overview: EJBCA Publishers is a very powerful tool, that allows you to push two types of data to external sources:
Certificates &
CRL information
In this lab, we will configure three different publishers, an LDAP publisher, a VA peer publisher, and a multi-group publisher. At the end of this lab, we will have established a publisher to push certificate & CRL data to the VA instance.
Features: EJBCA publishers has the capability of publishing "selected certificate profiles". It is not necessary to publish every certificate, in your instance to an external source. Identify the certificate profiles, you wish to publish, and assign them to a publisher. This gives you freedom and flexibility to publish any combination of data.
There are also different "methods" for publishing certificates (Direct Publishing w/ queue, No direct publishing, Direct publishing only, & Safe Direct publishing). The method you choose depends on your requirements.
In a subsequent lab, we will "schedule" this publisher, using an EJBCA service, so any new updates will be published as well.
