Approvals
Introduction
EJBCA Approvals
Slide Deck: EJBCA Approvals
Overview: Sometimes your organization would like to divide the PKI responsibilities up among different folks, so no one person is in charge. This is the perfect opportunity to implement “approval workflows”. Within EJBCA there is a feature that allows the organization to divide responsibilities among different administrators when performing certain certificate tasks. This limits the power any one person may be assigned. And allows multiple people the ability to "sign off" on a certificate operation.
In this module you will become familiar with how to create approval workflows. At the end of this module, you should be able to:
Explain the difference between the two different types of workflows,
Accumulative, and Partitioned workflows.
As well as identify which workflow is appropriate for your circumstances.
You will also be able to create the different types of workflows and learn how administrators are given access to approve the workflows.
